Acne laser treatments are new and very effective for treating acne. there are several different kinds of laser treatments that can be used. Below we will briefly discuss each one. Blue light: uses a blue color light to kill bacteria causing acne. it does not cause damage to the skin.

PDT: uses different chemicals to kill bacteria.
Photothermolysis: a newer laser method. it uses different lasers to promote minor skin injuries that help to repair the skin back up. This is also highly effective for clearing stubborn acne scars.
There are several advantages for light and laser treatments. Most treatments cause little to no pain the procedure takes only 10-15 minutes. You can also begin to start seeing results in as little as a month or from just a few short sessions. It’s very effective for reducing inflammation, reducing oily skin and for killing bacteria.
The disadvantages are you can experience over dryness of the skin. Lasers can also cause swelling of your skin areas. one of the more common side effects is redness, minor discomfort and pain associated with some lasers.
