Cystic acne is the worst type of acne this form of acne is not just simple pimples that have enlarged. it is actually a type of abscess occurring when the oil ducts become clogged with debris and become infected. when pimple turns to an abscess, the inflammation and infection in the oil glands spread and produced inflammation and pus in the tissue surrounding the pore. the infections are very deep under the skin and unable to rise to the surface. they are extremely painful, red and swollen.

Healing acne cysts takes time and patience. the deep rooted nature of the abscess and the fact that it cannot dissipate the pus, means that acne cysts takes more time to heal. it can take up to several months to completely heal.

Persistent acne cysts will scar. a specialist like a dermatologist, will have stronger treatments to give the healing process a boost. Oral medication such as antibiotics is normally the first course of action, however, there are other very strong medications available that are made specifically for the treatment of severe acne. with strong medicine comes strong side effects, so just be clear with your doctor as to the side effects. some of these oral medications can have undesirable and lasting repercussions.
If there is a tendency to be prone to cysts, then take good care of the skin. clean the cystic area at least twice a day. Control re-infection by refraining from touching the cyst. Use treatment regularly and as directed. Acne cysts can be controlled with the proper course of action. above all, see a doctor if you have too.
