1340143300 15 Why do steroids and antibiotics seem to cure acne on me.? acne free

I’ve spent 18 years, washing and lotioning my face and back so its not embarrasing and have noticed after getting into some poison oak a few years ago that the steroid they give for that completely remedied every pimple on my body, then later I got bronchitis, they gave me an antibiotic completely cured within two days, stayed cured until I stopped. So is acne an alergic reaction? Is there some way to find what it is your alergic to? I eat fair, work out, wash twice a day, currently using proactive because I needed something less drying and instead …

Viewpoint: I just want my medicine

1335034863 21 Viewpoint: I just want my medicine

On a sunny morning during my freshman year of college, I woke up to my insides being pummeled. This was nothing new — for eight years I had struggled with monthly ordeals of incapacitating corporal mutiny. but it was the first week of school, so I began walking to class. I ended up collapsing on a bathroom floor, vomiting, drenched in sweat and immobilized with agony. after what seemed like years, an ambulance came and paramedics took me to the hospital.

We never found out what happened that day. but they put me on birth control to prevent another hospital visit. Three years and a few other female conditions later, the birth control pill is still the only medication protecting me against needlessly suffering again.

A lot of guy friends ask why I take the …

Hometownstations.com WLIO Lima, OH News Weather SportsUS revisits safety of newer birth control drugsBy MATTHEW PERRONEAP Health Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) – Birth control drugs that were heavily promoted as having fewer side effects and the ability to clear up acne and other hormonal bothers are under new scrutiny from U.S. safety regulators.

Research suggesting that newer birth control formulations are more likely to cause blood clots than older drugs has prompted the Food and Drug Administration to consider new safety measures in meetings later this week. the increased risk is slight, but significant because blood clots can cause heart attacks, strokes and blockages in lungs or blood vessels, which can be fatal.

Accutane can be taken in tablet form as an effective treatment for acne, but there are risks of serious side effects.

Side effects in women who are pregnant can include serious birth defects in their unborn baby. this is the reason FDA regulations are adamant that females of childbearing age are required to take two tests to …
