NEW YORK (WABC) — If you thought pimples ended with your teenage years, think again.

Experts say adult acne in women is on the rise.

One survey from the University of Alabama reports adult acne affects more than 50% of women between 20 and 29.

it also affects more than 25% for women 40 to 49.

Dermatologists say hormones are a significant factor.

Hormone treatments and other medications can help.
